Terms & Risk Disclaimer

CipherLux risk disclaimer and beta terms

Last updated: April 2026

Please read this carefully before using CipherLux. By connecting an exchange, enabling auto-execution, or using any CipherLux feature, you acknowledge and accept the risks and terms below.

1. General Risk Warning

By using CipherLux, you understand and accept that trading involves risk and that you may lose some or all of the funds you allocate to trading.

  • Crypto is highly volatile. Prices of digital assets can move quickly and unpredictably, including large swings over short periods of time.
  • You can lose money. There is a real risk of partial or total loss of capital. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
  • Leverage amplifies risk. If you use leverage on your exchange, gains and losses may be magnified, including rapid losses and liquidation.
  • No guaranteed profits. Examples of performance, returns, strategies, backtests, and live results are informational only. Past performance, including backtested performance, does not guarantee future results.
  • Market and technical risks exist. Slippage, low liquidity, exchange outages, API issues, and other technical factors can materially impact execution and outcomes.

2. Platform Disclaimer

CipherLux is a non-custodial software platform. It is not a broker, exchange, bank, custodian, or provider of personalized investment advice.

Not a broker, exchange, bank, or custodian

  • Your funds remain on your own exchange account, including Binance, KuCoin, Bybit, and Bitget.
  • CipherLux connects through API with read and trade permissions only.
  • CipherLux does not have withdrawal access and cannot move funds off your exchange account.

Not financial advice

  • CipherLux does not provide personalized investment advice or recommendations.
  • Strategies, signals, and AI-generated content are tools, not instructions to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
  • You are solely responsible for all trading decisions, including whether to enable, disable, or configure any strategy or feature.

Auto-execution and User Approval

  • When you enable auto-execution, CipherLux places orders on your connected exchange automatically based on strategy signals and your configured settings.
  • When you use User Approval mode, CipherLux sends proposed trades for you to manually approve or reject.
  • In all cases, the final responsibility remains with you.

No profit guarantee

  • CipherLux charges a 25% share of realized trading profits when you use auto-execution.
  • This fee structure does not imply that profits are expected or guaranteed.
  • If your trading is not profitable, CipherLux does not charge a profit share, but you may still incur subscription or credit costs for other platform usage.

3. Beta-Specific Terms

CipherLux is currently offered as beta software.

Bugs and errors

  • The platform may contain bugs, configuration issues, or technical errors that affect performance.
  • This includes delayed signals, missed trades, duplicated trades, incorrect metrics, or interface glitches.

Service interruptions

  • Access may be interrupted or suspended due to maintenance, outages, exchange failures, network failures, hosting-provider failures, or other reasons.

Data accuracy and loss

  • CipherLux aims to provide accurate data and reports, but delays or inaccuracies may occur.
  • Strategy logs, backtest results, and analytics may be temporarily or permanently unavailable.

By using CipherLux during beta, you accept these limitations and agree that you will not rely on the platform as a fully mature, error-free system.

4. API Security Notice

Your API keys are the bridge between CipherLux and your exchange accounts. You are responsible for protecting them.

User responsibility

  • You create and manage your own API keys directly on your exchange.
  • You must ensure that API keys are created with no withdrawal permissions and, where supported, IP restrictions.

CipherLux recommendations

  • Always create a dedicated API key for CipherLux, separate from any other tools.
  • Enable read and trade permissions only. Disable withdrawals.
  • Use IP whitelisting where available so the key only works from CipherLux server IPs.
  • Revoke API keys immediately if you suspect compromise or stop using CipherLux.

CipherLux implements security measures to protect stored API credentials, but no system can be perfectly secure. Any compromise caused by weak API settings, password reuse, phishing, malware, or other third-party breaches remains your responsibility.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

CipherLux shall not be liable for

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages.
  • Any loss of funds, profits, data, or opportunity.
  • Any trading losses arising from the use of CipherLux, any strategy, AI feature, signal, or integration.

CipherLux does not guarantee

  • That the platform will be available at all times.
  • That the platform will be error-free, bug-free, or secure against all attacks.
  • That any given strategy or signal will perform as expected in live markets.

Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the platform is to stop using it and disconnect your exchange APIs.

6. User Responsibility

By creating an account, connecting an exchange, or enabling any CipherLux feature, you agree that you are solely responsible for:

  • Understanding trading risk. This includes crypto volatility and, where applicable, leverage risk.
  • Choosing and managing strategies. You decide which strategies to run, modify, pause, or stop.
  • Reviewing metrics. You are responsible for understanding backtest and live performance metrics before acting on them.
  • Setting risk controls. You are responsible for choosing personas, position sizing, and other risk parameters.
  • Monitoring accounts and trades. You must monitor your connected exchanges and active strategies.

You will

  • Use CipherLux in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
  • Not rely on CipherLux as your only risk management layer.
  • Immediately disable auto-execution and revoke API keys if you do not accept these risks and terms.

If you do not agree with this disclaimer and these beta terms, do not connect an exchange, do not enable auto-execution, and do not use CipherLux for live trading.

CipherLux may update these terms, risk disclosures, and beta conditions from time to time to reflect product changes, operational realities, legal requirements, and security practices. Material updates will be reflected on this page.
